You know who’s 47-years-old and turns heads in Tupelo today? Of course, it could be Halle Berry, or Salma Hayek or even Cindy Crawford, but our blog doesn’t handle those kind of celebrities. So, the other 47-year-old head-turning celebrity has to be the 2014 Toyota Corolla.
The all-new Toyota Corolla made its official debut in Mississippi recently, gathering nearly 9,000 people at BancorpSouth Arena along with an illusionist, an aerial show, fireworks and many other performers.
The show concentrated on Toyota Mississippi’s workers and their families, which made possible for the eleventh generation Corolla to enter dealerships.
“The Corolla is not built with one part. It is not built by one person. And it is not built by one company. It takes all of us, Toyota Mississippi and our strong supplier support, working together as one team, to produce high quality Corollas,” said Masafumi Hamaguchi, president of Toyota Mississippi.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi employs 2,000 team members while the other five “near-site” suppliers add 1,300 to the total.
