This fall, North America is in to receive the revised 2015 Toyota Camry, which is somewhere at the border between a midlife cycle refresh and a whole new model due to the amount of things that changed. Whatever the case, the US won’t be the only market to get the refreshed model as it’s intended to go globally, just like the previous iterations did.
The global market model is due to make its first appearance at this year’s Moscow Motor Show towards the end of the month and Toyota made sure to wake us up by posting this teaser image you see above.

It’s not the most revealing teaser in the world, but even by showing us the headlights and a small part of the grille, we can tell you the global Camry will be more toned down than its American sister. Just like the European 2014 Corolla was at its launch.

The large-mouthed front end appears to be clearly split in half, with no apparent visual enhancements to make the upper and lower grille look as one piece like on the US Camry. Then you can notice that the upper grille has a more dull look without the center chrome ornament and even the headlights are a bit changed; they appear bigger and also contain the LED daytime running lights.

Which means those narrow cuts on the sides of the bumper will probably be transformed into some boring trapezoidal vents or foglight surroundings like everyone does now.

We still couldn’t believe our eyes how plain and unexciting the teaser looks even with some more brightness added to reveal the body shape. It’s actually worse compared to the US version we placed next to it.

However, regarding Toyota’s ascension into the world of design lately (especially Lexus), we can’t give a final verdict on how good or bad the model will look like until we won’t see it in full light. This will most probably happen on August 27th when the Moscow International Automobile Salon will start so stay tuned.
