Toyota is already the tile sponsor of the TOYOTA NHRA Summernationals at Old Bridge Township Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ, and we’ve recently learned that it will sponsor the NHRA event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this fall.
Toyota has recently signed a multiyear contract to sponsor the fall NHRA drag races at The Strip. The next-to-last event in the NHRA Mello Yello Countdown to the Championship will be held between 25-27th October this year.
The Japanese automaker began its involvement in NHRA in 2002 with a Celica Funny Car. Currently, Toyota sponsors three Top Fuel teams (Khalid alBalooshi and Shawn Langdon of Al-Anabi Racing, Morgan Lucas and Brandon Bernstein of Morgan Lucas Racing, and Antron Brown of Don Schumacher Racing) and four Funny Car teams (Cruz Pedregon of Cruz Pedregon Racing, Tony Pedregon of Tony Pedregon Racing, Del Worsham and Alexis DeJoria of Kalitta Motorsports, and Chad Head of Head Racing).
