Toyota has unveiled its new Driver Awareness Research Vehicle (DAR-V) at the Los Angeles Auto Show and after we saw it in the pictures it’s now the time to see it how it works, as a new video got released from the manufacturer.
The DAR-V is a conceptual Toyota Sienna that focuses on reducing the driver distractions before even starting the engine.
Let’s say you’re in a hurry and need to know multiple things before you drive away, like traffic, future schedule, your car’s range or weather. Normally, with a basic vehicle you had to get behind the wheel and check everything on the go. But Toyota’s new research vehicle can provide all the customized information you need before even getting behind the wheel.
As you approach the vehicle, it will recognize you and will display all the things you need on one of its side windows and using a combination of gesture control, voice and key fob buttons, you can navigate through multiple screens.
Check it down in the video.
