After having a little April Fools fun with their British Touring Van Championship joke, Japanese automaker Toyota took the more serious road and released full United Kingdom specs and pricing for the the Proace van.
Set to go on sale from July 1, 2013, the new Proace van comes in a 10-model lineup with payloads up to 1,200 kg and a choice of three efficient 1.6 and 2.0-liter turbodiesel engines ranging from 89 to 161 bhp.
Toyota offers nine Panel Van versions in two vehicle lengths and heights and one Crew Cab variant that provides seating for up to six people. Unlike the panel vans, the Crew Cab is available in a single configuration (long wheelbase, standard height) and with the 126 bhp engine.
The Proace's interior has air conditioning, Bluetooth, electric windows as standard, while options include a choice of a single front passenger seat or two-person bench. Safety features such as driver and passenger airbags, ABS and Vehicle Stability Control are featured as well.
