Toyota has recently published the efficiency and emissions figures for the fresh Prius Plug-in Hybrid, the carmaker’s newest green effort. While using its battery, the vehicle can cover 134.5 miles or 216 km using one imperial gallon of petrol, which can be translated into 2.1 liters per 100 km or 112 US mpg, while its CO2 emissions sit at 49 grams per km on the combined driving cycle.
After the battery runs out of juice and the vehicle switches into HV mode, it returns an efficiency of 76.4 UK mpg / 3.7 liters per 100 km or 63.6 US mpg. As for the total range, the vehicle allows the driver to cover 1,237 km or 769 miles.
The plug-in Prius offers an all-electric driving range of 15.5 miles (25 km), with a full charge taking 90 minutes using a standard outlet. The vehicle hasn’t compromised interior or luggage space for the new hardware, offering the same values as before.
The UK market sales are set to debut this summer, with prices starting at below GBP30,000 OTR, which includes the Gorvernment Plug-In Car Grant.
