The Ford F-150 might be in the US sales’ headline, but California is not that into big V8s anymore. The Prius is what most consumers went for in 2013.
In fact, the F-150 was ranked sixth, while Japanese cars are holding the top spots. The Toyota Prius alone got sold in 69,728 units last year, making for California’s best selling vehicle.
"The nation of California is very different," said Consumer Reports’ automotive test director Jake Fisher.
Once the country of flashy muscle cars and lowriders, looks like California is now turning more and more into a zone that is starting to resemble the future Detroit pictured in the Demolition Man in 1993. All it needs now is more pious citizens and curse-fining machines placed around.
