Toyota Prius C Launched in Australia

Once again, another major market is being graced by the most affordable hybrid on the market, the Yaris-sized Prisus C Launched in Australia for AUD23,990, the model is slightly more expensive than in the US but still cheaper than everything else.

The Prius C is only sold with one powertrain, comprising of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that combined deliver 100 hp. This is sent to the front wheels via a standard continuously variable transmission.

In australia, standard features include keyless entry and engine start, Bluetooth/USB/iPod connectivity, CD player, reversing camera, 3.5-inch information display, cruise control, foglights and 15-inch wheels. This is better equipped than the base Prius C ‘One’ sold in the US.

The Prius C i-Tech is even better equipped, with satellite navigation, LED headlights, electrically retractable side mirrors, rear spoiler and 15-inch alloy wheels.

We expect supply to be very limited, so get yours quick if you can.
