Toyota has decided to join the Japanese club for automakers offering a kei car with the new Pixis Space that’s actually produced by the Daihatsu brand under their joint OEM agreement reached last year.
The Pixis Space is offered in two trim levels L and X, plus the sporty looking derivatives called Custom X, Custom G and Custom RS.

The power comes from a naturally aspirated 660cc gasoline engine that’s mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The Pixis also brings either front- or all-wheel drive.

On the Japanese market, the Pixis Space is priced from JPY1.12 million ($14,700), though it can go all the way up to JPY1.611 million ($21,145).

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
