McLaren F1 supercars don’t come cheap these days, not that they did at their time, but instead of spending a truckload of money and get one just to dust it off in the garage and casually drive it once or twice a month, you can get a replica.
They come in different qualities and while some are built on a custom spaceframe, others like this one here is built over a Toyota MR2 platform, which seems to match pretty well, having the right wheelbase and being mid-engined.
Overall, the F1 replica looks good and could easily trick someone from a distance. Coming closer, you’ll see that the wheels are a bit skinny, the interior is not the special 3-seat layout one and if you pop the hood, you’ll discover a 2-liter inline four-cylinder mounted transversally.
