Certain people still have a very hard time getting over the fact that BMW now builds MPVs. Well, if the 2-Series Active Tourer is bothering, then how about a minivan from the other end of the scale involving BMW ownership? Yes, we are talking about a Rolls-Royce minivan.
The Gods above were mighty though, so Crewe didn’t take up building people movers just yet. Instead, this is a Toyota minivan that wants to be a Rolls-Royce.

This piece of overkill comes all the way from Japan, the main market of the vehicle, a Toyota Alphard. The front fascia tries really hard to pass as a creation of the British marque. The headlights, Pantheon grille and even some of the body’s styling, they’re all desperate efforts to boost the Alphard’s status.

In addition to the... aspirational front end, this Toyota wears a complete body kit coming from VeilSide. To go along with these mods, the minivan rides on a set of wheels that scream “bling-bling: though their White finish. Those microscopic sidewalls are clearly what your family needs when going for a trip.

It’s quite a shame somebody decided to ruin an Alphard. That’s because, for its class, this Toyota isn’t half bad. For one thing, this Toyota has an intelligent hybrid version - while the front wheels are powered by a naturally-aspirated 2.4-liter unit, the rear axle benefits from the addition of an electric engine.

PS: and we though that yesterday’s Volvo Rolls-Royce wannabe was something that crossed the line...
