Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) is currently discussing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for a possible recall of several models sold in US and Canada over problems with their seat fabric.
The Toyota Camry, Camry Hybrid, Avalon, Avalon Hybrid, Corolla, Sienna, Tundra and Tacoma models sold since August 2012 have been fitted with seat fabric materials that may not clear flammability standards due to a supplier change. Of course, the issue addresses only to vehicles also fitted with seat heating.

Toyota doesn’t know exactly how many vehicles are affected by this, but the automaker stopped selling the affected models. It’s still unclear if NHTSA will decide for a recall, but owners will surely be notified via first class mail if such a measure will be required.
