Ever since the Mercedes-AMG G63 6x6 came out, everybody wants to turn legendary off-roaders into 6x6 vehicles. First, it was the Land Rover Discovery by Kahn Design (the Kahn Design Flying Huntsman), and now we've got ourselves an entry from Japan.
The Land Cruiser in general and the older models in particular are well known for their reluctance to die. These vehicles seem to go on forever, regardless of what's being thrown at them. The Hilux pickup, which is largely based on the Land Cruiser, shares the same halo of invincibility, something that was even proven time and time again.

But their immortal capabilities wouldn't account for anything on rough terrain if they were crappy off-road vehicles. Ask anybody who's serious about his off-roading, and they'll tell you that there's no better vehicle out there than a pre-00's Toyota Land Cruiser. You can split hairs all you want, but in the end, it's the mix of undeniable capabilities and impeccable reliability that wins the Land Cruiser the unofficial title of best off-roader.

That isn't to say the car can't be improved. For one thing, four-wheel-drive is great, but six-wheel-drive is even better. The guys at NSV Dubai seem to know this, and so they added an extra axle to the rear of a Land Cruiser, turning it into a G63 6x6 lookalike. Unlike the Mercedes, the Japanese version keeps its utilitarian feel intact, offering a huge bed that can take up to 3.3 tons of load.

Since the vehicle itself isn't exactly featherweight, the NSV Toyota Land Cruiser 6x6 needs a very powerful engine. And it gets it in the form of a 4.5-liter turbo diesel V8. There are no clear figures about the vehicle's performances, but just by using common sense and looking at the clip below, you can realize that it's got all it needs. Except for you in it.
