Toyota’s Indian subsidiary has reported it will ramp up its exports by another 5,000 vehicles per year.
Currently exporting for South Africa, Toyota Kirloskar has also sent the first testing batch to Indonesia, soon to start exporting on large scale in the area soon.

"We will be exporting over 25,000 vehicles this year. Last year we exported around 20,000 vehicles. Our exports comprise mainly of Etios and Liva,” said Sandeep Singh, managing director and chief operating officer, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, on the sidelines of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) annual summit New Delhi. "We have sent a pilot batch to Indonesia which will be a new market for us. We have got orders for around 2,200 vehicles," he added.

However, due to the current depreciation of the Indian rupee, the company’s sales during last month fell 6.3 percent, registering 15,201 units sold compared to 16,225 of last year’s same month.
