Thanks to support from the local Toyota plant, Alabama residents can end up with lower energy bills by entering the AlabamaWISE project.
Nexus Energy’s AlabamaWISE community energy program received $25,000 from Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama recently to continue and help locals to take control of their energy costs. Through resources like home improvements advice, contractor referrals and affordable loans, the program helps residents lower monthly utility bills while raising energy savings with around 20-30%.

The donation was part of celebrating the new milestone achieved by Toyota Alabama - expansion of the all-new V6 engine line and the reveal of the plant’s 3 millionth engine produced.

The whole energy saving theme is not new to Toyota. Since 2002, manufacturing energy use has been reduced by 22 percent per vehicle made. Cumulative cost savings at Toyota’s 14 North American plants have totaled over $410 million.
