For 2015, the Japanese Toyota GT 86 version comes with some minor color setups, new rims and slightly modified trim levels. But along with those, the automaker will also boast with two awesome special editions - the TRD 14R-60 and the style Cb.
The Toyota GT 86 14R-60 is based on the TRD Griffon concept and it’s said to be limited to 100 units. Although they haven’t tinkered with the engine’s output, the model comes with improved aesthetics, aerodynamics and handling.

These are done through a TRD set that adds a redesigned front bumper with an air splitter, new side sills, a different rear bumper with an integrated air diffuser and central exhausts, aerodynamic plates mounted underneath, a big wing, new lightweight rims, a tuned suspension as well as door stabilizers to increase body rigidity.

Engine wise, the car remains the same 2-liter opposed four-cylinder making 200 hp and mated to either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. Pricing is set at ¥3,767,237 ($31,670/€28,000) or ¥3,849,719 ($32,364/€28,690) accordingly.

Luxury looks

First time we saw the style Cb GT 86 was at the 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon in January, when it was just a fancy concept, oriented more towards the female clients.

But it now looks to be offered as a complete package starting April 23rd for ¥4,180,582($35,111/€31,070) or ¥4,263,055 ($35,795/€31,692) if you want it with an automatic gearbox. And for the money, you get a nice set of rims, a special exterior paintjob which can be had in two tones, redesigned longer front bumper, new oval headlights and some special markings on the sides right in front of the A-pillars.

The interior adopts a retro-inspired gauge cluster as well, a Cb badge on the leather-wrapped steering wheel as well as ebony woodgrain panels. Not that much, but even these changes help set a different mood inside the cabin.

Back on the US soil, the coolest special edition you can get now is the Scion FR-S Release Series, coming at $30,760 for which you get a nice yellow paint, a TRD aero kit, quad exhausts and TRD steering wheel/shift knob combo.
