Toyota GT 86 Commercial / Promo: Full Throttle

Toyota unveiled the brand new GT 86 sports coupe today at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. And now the shameless plugging has to start so the potential customers find it cool enough to buy. A brand new promo clip / commercial video was revealed today, bringing the car into the digital world.
It all starts with a sort of organic growth of the car that was co-developed with Subaru, a fact that can clearly be seen from the fact that there’s a big “Subaru” logo on top of the boxer engine’s cover. And speaking of the engine, the 2.0-liter units makes use of direct and port injection for an output of 200 horsepower.

Even though there isn’t much in the way of brand differentiation from its Subaru brother, the styling of the GT 86 is remarkably pure and simple. We’re hoping to hear of some cool factory upgrades like body kits and spoilers in the near future.
