I get the feeling that we haven't even scratched the surface when it comes to tuning the new Toyota GR Yaris. While it may be difficult to come up with a body kit that looks better than the Rocket Bunny one released by Tra Kyoto, that doesn't mean people will just stop trying. And that doesn't mean they won't succeed in coming up with something better. While the Kyza hasn't touched the GR Yaris yet, there is another artist who has.
His name is Hugo Silva, and he's been showing us some amazing concepts like the Pikes Peak spec Audi R8, the track-spec Ford Bronco, and even the cute widebody Autozam AZ-1. But with all the madness surrounding the new GR Yaris, this was bound to be his newest project: "Last week I was finally able to put my hands on the new GR Yaris. Since it's one of my favorite new car releases I went crazy with it."
Oh, we can see that you did go crazy with it, indeed, Hugo. If the Rocket Bunny GR Yaris was wide, well, this is, simply put, wider. While the Japanese tuned GR Yaris looked as if it was ready to take on the World Rally Championship, Hugo's car looks like it might just make it into the next Mad Max movie. We like the fact that he's done some work to the hood as well.
The Rocket Bunny rear spoiler might be slightly more interesting though, as it feels like it's better integrated with the whole car, whereas Hugo opted for a double spoiler, which doesn't look bad at all. It might feel a bit too overkill for some people, though. The wheel design is definitely something to look at, and it does have that racing feel to it with the single center lug nut design.
We also like the fact that Hugo chose a very special shade of red to emphasize the details on the car, and this color does play its part in the overall aggressive look of the little GR Yaris. All in all, it's great that people keep releasing ideas for this vehicle, and hopefully, we'll get to see them in real life as well.
