Toyota Goodies for the Tokyo Auto Salon

The excitement caused last weekend by the Tokyo Auto Salon, the premiere after market and tuning show in Japan, is slowly beginning to fade away, but this doesn't mean there aren't still some great cars to be presented.

Toyota, the largest car maker in the world and, as it happens, a Japanese born company, had no other choice but to impress the crowds with the cars and ideas it came up with this past year. Faced with fierce competition for Nissan at the Tokyo event, Toyota managed to emerge victorious, helped of course by its luxury division Lexus.

In all, three of the iconic badges sold by Toyota worldwide made the headlines last weekend. At the top of
them all, the mean-looking midget iQ Racing Concept, developed by Gazoo Racing and MN.

The car, whose body had been severely modified to suit the show's needs and requirements, also comes
packing a supercharged engine and a roll-cage, to be as reminiscent of racing as it can.

Since it is the owner of the best-selling hybrid in history, Toyota once again gave the Prius its rightful place at the Tokyo Salon, by bringing there the G Sports Concept. Accompanying it is the TRD designed Auris concept, a car created as if to remember the world the beast that usually hides under the body of the otherwise dull Auris.

As for Lexus, Toyota's luxury division, we already told you about the models presented in Tokyo: CT 200h F-Sport, IS-F Club Circuit Sports Racer, IS-F Club Performance Accessory, Gazoo Racing Lexus LFA and LS 460.
