The current Prius and its cousins will be another year or two with us, reason why they got slightly updated to keep up with modern times and client demands. The family-sized Prius v just got overhauled for 2015 and it looks better than ever.
Up until now, the Toyota Prius v may have looked like the company's gentle giant. Not anymore, because a full facial reconstruction made it frown and open up its mouth like a killer whale.

The rest of the silhouette hasn’t been changed, but the car has redesigned headlamps and taillights, bumpers, rims and even exterior colors like Attitude Black Metallic, Absolutely Red and tasty Toasted Walnut Pearl.

Hop aboard and you’ll see the revised Entune Audio System which brings new multimedia capabilities, a new 8-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support as well as a new 4.2-inch TFT screen which comes as standard now.

Mechanically, the 2015 Prius v wears the same Hybrid Synergy Drive found on the standard Prius, while delivering 44 mpg city and 40 mpg on the highway. And that’s because the car is only 268 lb heavier than the Liftback model and has a 0.29 drag coefficient.

All the electric parts in the powertrain are covered by an eight year/100,000 miles warranty, while a 36-month/36,000 mile basic new-vehicle warranty applies for all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. The battery is also covered for 10 years/150,000 miles.

Official prices are not out yet so stay tuned for when the automaker decides to make them public.
