Toyota’s ideology now is based on offering people ecologic ways of transportation, green energy as well as a clean and organized environment to live in.
Due to recycling 98 percent of its waste last year, Torrance-based Toyota Motor Sales, USA, will receive an honorable mention in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) today.

But this is not the first time Toyota gets the EPA award, as the WasteWise honor was awarded to the Japanese automaker since it joined the government program in 2010.

Toyota is currently the biggest hybrid vehicle seller, with almost four times more gasoline-electric vehicles in its range (including Lexus) than any other automaker.

The automaker is also cutting electric power consumption in its factories by installing huge solar arrays while also sparing billion of trees through its part containers recycling program.
