With about a month left until the Toyota Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCV-R) prototype will be fully unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show in November, here is another test drive with the amazing noiseless machine.
Toyota’s fuel cell electric vehicle represents the company’s vision for efficient, zero emissions future driving. The biggest advantage of hydrogen cars compared to the classic plug-in EVs is the range, with Toyota claiming theirs can do over 400 miles on one hydrogen tank.
Moreover, when the hydrogen tank is depleted, refilling the 700 bar (10,000 psi) reinforced tank will take about 3 minutes, which is way better than charging a standard EV for three hours just to make 150 miles.
The Telegraph is the latest publication to have tested Toyota’s fuel cell vehicle, finding it well handling and very quiet.
