Have we ever mentioned that brown is the IT color of the moment? Of course we have, since just about every sportscar from the 911 to the mighty Lexus LF-A have worn it. This is the latest incarnation of the FT-86 Concept that’s going to debut in Frankfurt today.
No extra bit of info has been provided by the automaker, and we don’t know why this car is so long overdue, but recent rumors have been encouraging. For instance, the FT-86 is expected to be a back-to-basics car with a low center of gravity, ESP that can be deactivated and excellent driver feel.

Such a formula takes time to get right, so it’s understandably why Toyota hasn’t come up with the production version yet. They might also want to launch two stages of tune for the engine at the same time, as a prototype has been spotted on the ‘Ring with a big wing on the back, suggesting it has extra power to keep in check.
