As if there weren't enough cool Toyotas to drive in Gran Turismo 6, the Japanese automaker has just collaborated with Polyphony on a digital version of the FT-1 Concept that will surely blow you away. It's got carbon, it's black and the air intakes could swallow small dogs – if Batman ever asks for a Japanese racing car, just show him this thing.

The FT-1 was revealed in Detroit at the beginning of the year and is widely viewed as a preview for the next Supra sportscar that Toyota is currently developing. It's long, low and with plenty of skirts and diffusers wouldn't look out of place on a race track. The new version created for Gran Turismo 6 is called the FT-1 Vision GT Concept and it takes all those things we like and puts them on steroids.

From the teaser video that Toyota has released, we can tell the body kit of the FT has been enhanced, along with it receiving a black paintjob. Everything was conceived by Toyota's Calty Design Research in Newport Beach, California, who wanted carbon fiber elements to stand out from a distance.

But perhaps the most interesting aspect of the teaser video below is that you can hear the sound of the engine. Putting that into better perspective, the latest rumors suggest a new Toyota Supra is on its way and could be powered by a 2-liter turbo engine at the front that's aided by electric motors.
