Toyota FJ Cruiser Tested In the Desert by 4xforum

The desert is a harsh place to drive and to exist in general. The heat will try to toast your car from everywhere as the hot sand will increase the wheels temperature, the air will boil your engine coolant if pushing it too hard and it will make the air con feel like a warm breeze.

Other elements like the fine dust, sharp rocks and scorpions will want a piece of you as well, so you will need a serious vehicle if you want to wonder between the dunes.

The Toyota FJ Cruiser sure has both the looks and the performance to roam in the vastness of sand and cacti and 4xforum recently got to test one in such conditions. Their FJ was powered by a 4-liter V6 petrol engine and it was slightly modified by LA Sport. Watch it in the video bellow hurling around in Southern Africa.
