Toyota’s philanthropist actions continue, this time by donating a Prius and an Auris Hybrid to Romanian “Taxi Gratis” service for the people in need.
Taxi Gratis, which translates into “Free Taxi”, is an altruistic project founded by Alex Bobes, 23, for the needy people living in Bucharest, who can’t afford paying for a regular taxi in an emergency.
With their project, Alex and his friends wanted to show the people that good deeds can still be done without asking for a price. They use personal, unmarked vehicles for the job and use their spare time giving rides to people having money issues.
The two hybrids donated by Toyota will greatly help the guys by drastically reducing fuel and maintenance costs in the future.
