The blaze started Friday 28th of June near the town of Yarnell, just 80 miles northwest of Phoenix. It burned until Sunday, when wind increased and intensified the flames, trapping 19 firemen which could’t do anything to escape.

“On behalf of Toyota, we express our sincere condolences to the families that have lost loved ones and homes in this tragic event,” said Latondra Newton, group vice president, national philanthropy and the Toyota USA Foundation.  “Our thoughts go out to everyone in the community.”

Since 2001, Toyota and its North American employees have donated nearly $15 million in charitable funds and vehicles.
