One of Toyota Motor Company’s tuning partners, Modellista, has released a range of performance orientated versions for the company’s domestic market-only Crown sedan, as Insideline writes.

Modellista offers a discreet body kit and bespoke rims for the Crown’s multiple V6-powered versions. For customers who only want a limited visual enhancement, the body parts (each bumpers, side skirts and others) can be ordered individually.

The beefiest model in the line-up is the Modellista 3.5 liter Crown Athlete, equipped with the company’s M supercharger. The car has 311 HP and 277 pound-feet of torque when it leaves the factory. Through the use of force induction and a ECU remapping, Modellista brings the vehicle’s engine to 355 HP and 367 pound-feet of torque. In order to handle all the power, this incarnation of the Crown is also fitted with a sports suspension system, which lowers it by 0.8 inches.

According to the aforementioned source, the car retails for an insane price, the complete package costing over $70,000.

Modellista also offers 18- and 19- inch rims for the Crown vehicle line-up. In addition to this, a sport muffler option is also available.

Modellista currently offers a wide range of modifications for the Toyota models in Japan some of which target models found at the other end of the scale when compared to the aforementioned supercharged version of the Crown. This also includes hybrid models, such as the Prius, Estima hybrid, the Crown hybrid. The tuner has also developed a special package for the Toyota IQ minicar.
