The Toyota Corolla model has registered high sales in the United Arab Emirates, with an outstanding performance in July.
According to the exclussive Toyota distributor in the UAE Al-Futtaim Motors, the Corolla model is the best-selling passenger car, scoring a 44 percent increase in July sales comparing to the same period of last year.
"The success of Corolla has been instrumental in growing Toyota's sales and helping Al-Futtaim Motors maintain its leading position in the UAE automotive market," said Alan Carpenter, General Manager Sales and Marketing Al-Futtaim Motors.
Carpenter also highlighted that "We have seen a substantial growth in both our retail and fleet sales.I attribute this to two factors:improved supply and models specifically adapted to each of these two customer groups such as the exciting Corolla Sport with cruise control,leather wrapped steering wheel, exterior sports body kit, 16" alloy wheels, and sun roof."
One explanation of the model’s sales increase might be the fact that more and more people are moving to the UAE for a better living, the Corolla being their first choice as a reliable and versatile passenger vehicle to start with.
