Toyota Corolla Becomes Top Selling Car in Australia

Holden versus Ford? Forget about it, as Toyota battling against Mazda is now the mainstream fight in Australia and it looks like the Titan is winning this year again.

Toyota is the market leader for ten years in a row in Australia and this year has doubled its sales over its competitors, with more than 19,000 units sold in May alone.

Preliminary statistics for the last month, shows that Toyota’s Hilux pickup was the biggest selling vehicle, while the Corolla overtook Mazda 3’s sales, gaining the top position in passenger vehicle sales in Aussie land.

In a Top 10 Brands preliminary chart for May 2013, Toyota occupies the first place with 19,005 sold units, while Holden and Mazda follows with 8,305 respectively 8,135 delivered vehicles, clearly stating that Toyota is a mighty challenger even for the rough Australian outback.
