Toyota recently revealed the full pricing and technical details of their COMS Twizy-style EV. Now, the tandem two-seater will be used as a green means of transportation at the National University if Singapore (NUS).
The fleet of EVs will be used and tested under real world conditions, under an agreement with Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific, which is a subsidiary of the main brand. Students and professors will use the EVs to get around the campus, as well as from the campus to the nearest city and back.

The test is being conducted, in order to see how the COMS in hot, tropical climates with high humidity, an if it does not fail there, then it will easily handle milder climates, further away from the Equator. However, in Europe, people will probably not buy the Toyota, even if it will be made available here, as Renault’s Twizy seems to be very appealing.
