Toyota Motor Corporation announced that it will begin to accept applications for the Toyota Choreography 2014 starting with November 29th.
Applicants must be citizens or residents of Japan (or be engaged in activities based in Japan) and must have presented an original work of choreography to be eligible to apply. There are no genre restrictions and applications close on January 20th, 2014.
This year’s selection committee will include guest judges Keiko Okamura (curator of the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography), Kousuke Kawase (composer and artist), Tomohiro Maekawa (playwright and director) as well as the winners from the first Toyota Choreography Award.
Launched in 2001 in collaboration with the Setagaya Public Theatre, the the art and culture supporting Toyota Choreography Award aim to discover and nurture the next generation of choreographers.
