Without making too much noise about it, Toyota Malaysia put an extra Camry trim level on the local market which certainly deserves some attention.
It’s called the Camry 2.0 G X (seems Toyota has a thing with Xs now, isn’t it?) and its based on the 2.0 G version to which adds some extra features to increase its desirability.
The car still features with a “Coming Soon” label on the official website and there aren’t too many photos of it, but the exterior is said to come with dark bezel HID projectors, chrome trimmings and 17-inch alloy wheels.
However, the interior of this model is where all the magic happened. The specs sheet shows Dark Brown smooth leather upholstery, power 8-way front seats, powered rear sunshades with manual rear side ones, wood grain finishes as well as a 2-DIN head unit DVD player with 7-inch Touch Screen with Tuner, MP3, AUX jack, USB, SD card slot, Bluetooth, voice recognition, navigation and reverse camera with guided line.
The 2.0 G X trim is also available with the optional Aerokit which adds restyled front bumper spoiler with daytime running lights, rear bumper spoiler, side skirts and a trunk lid spoiler.
Starting at RM159,900 for private clients and at RM160,791 for companies, the Toyota Camry 2.0 G X is already available to be booked.
