Toyota Racing got another prize on its shelf after Matt Kenseth won the Sprint Cup race at Kentucky this weekend.
After coming on 16th place in qualifying, Toyota Camry driver Kenseth had enough experience to know that bad starts can turn into good results at the end.
Matt and his crew took their chances going all-in and making a fuel-only pit stop in the race’s ninth caution, which took him to the lead. He led twice for 38 laps, including the final 23, after he took the checkered flag, making its fourth victory in the season.
Kenseth is currently on fifth place in the driver’s championship standings, while Toyota equaled Chevrolet’s points on the first position and Ford took third in the manufacturer’s standings.
