Along with the launch of the new Highlander last year, Toyota partnered with Nickelodeon to promote it by creating two special Spongebob Squarepants themed models, one also wearing a fish tank in the back. This year the same story happened again, but it’s the Sienna’s turn to get the attention.
The 2015 Toyota Sienna might not be all that new, but along with the Nickelodeon will promote its upcoming film - The Spongebob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. Kinda’ like the automaker also did to raise interest over the new Muppets flick.
This custom The Spongebob Movie Toyota Sienna comes with a custom 3D cartoon-themed exterior, including the character’s Superhero Incredibubble mask that really blows bubbles at the top of the car.
Inside, the seating is inspired by each of Spongebob’s Bikini Bottom pals, along with a wood-grain dashboard, a custom Captain’s steering wheel (which apparently needs to be taken off to drive the car), a blue-sky head liner as well as a sand-inspired floor.
“Toyota is again teaming up with SpongeBob to help him and his friends go places in a custom ride inspired by their upcoming dry land adventures,” said Jack Hollis, vice president of marketing for Toyota. “The 2015 Sienna is a perfect choice for families and superheroes alike – offering seating for up to eight and a bubble blower attachment feature to boot.”
Fans will be able to admire the new Spongebob Sienna in “scales” and bones at the LA Auto Show starting November 18th, after which it will start a cross-country tour to further promote the movie which will premiere on February 6th, 2015.
