The trio is now complete, with the all-new Toyota Aygo surfacing the internet undisguised, adding up to its Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1 sister cars.
Surprisingly, the Toyota Aygo was fitted with the craziest design out of the three. Really, we thought the Citroen was the craziest with those headlights, but Toyota managed to come with a radical design for the super mini.
Despite the fact all three city ramblers will be made in the same plant, Toyota defiled the PSA group and came with a unique design composed of both rounded shapes and extreme angles.
The front end of the new Aygo is dominated by this huge black X which starts at the rearview mirrors, comes down through the headlights and flows downwards into the trapezoidal grille which got further accentuated by the LED daytime running lights parallel mounted at the bottom.
The profile of the Aygo is not very clear in these angles but you can see that Toyota chose a more sharper design for the rear door windows, with the actual glass actually being extended into the C-pillar.
Unlike its PSA sister cars, the new Aygo chose to have vertical-mounted taillights going up to the roof, while the all-glass hatch gets perfectly accessorized by a trapezoid black diffuser-like matte plastic insertion in the rear bumper.
The leaked photos show the new Aygo in four different trims apparently, hinting that the little car will be highly customizable according to each customer’s taste.
Engine range will include a 68PS 1-liter three-cylinder and a bigger 1.2-litter making 82 ponies at the crank.
Interior photos are not available at the moment, but stick with us for the unveil which is soon to come from the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
