The new model builds on the specifications of the Aygo+, adding air conditioning, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear knob and leather and Alcantara seat trim all provided as standard. Other features include a six-speaker audio system, electric windows and colour-matched door mirrors.
The price tag also takes in a choice of three metallic paint finishes: Dark Forest, Vermillion Red and Crystal Silver. Side protection mouldings are also provided to guard against the rough and tumble of city motoring. All this comes in at just £655 extra, compared to the equivalent Aygo+, "reinforcing the built-in value customers can enjoy," as the company brags.
Both three and five-door versions of Aygo Ice are available, all powered by Toyota’s multi-Engine of the Year Award-winning 1.0-litre VVT-i petrol powerplant, with a choice of manual or Multimode transmissions.
On-the-road prices start at £9,750, which is just the start of Aygo Ice’s formidable cost of ownership profile. With official fuel consumption of 61.4mpg (combined cycle), Band B road tax (VED) classification and a 3E insurance group rating, the new model delivers lasting value for money.
