Yes, we're dealing with a rendering here and the image sees the RWD icon that is the Toyota AE86 being fitted with the front end of the Lexus LS400. So let's see why anybody would throw the two models into the pixel blender.
It's no secret that such renderings are hugely popular nowadays and the one sitting on our screens now is the basic type, which aims for the best efficiency out there, putting a smile on an aficionado’s face without turning to complex 3D work. And we can thank social media label carfrontswaps for this shenanigan.

If anything, this visual stunt speaks of the variety that defines the portfolio of the Japanese automotive producer. And, since the two vehicles didn't even share the same decade - the compact sportscar was brought to the world between 1983 and 1987, while the lavish sedan is the facelifted incarnation of the second-generation model, which was produced between 1994 and 2000.

Given the drifting popularity of the AE86, perhaps this image caters to the dreaming needs of those who wish to deliver generous slip angles with a luxurious take, white gloves and all. Besides, the two models have been mixed in the real world, albeit in different forms.

Fortunately for the said models and their fans, both have modern-day correspondents. The Lexus LS is now in its fifth generation, so we can talk about a bloodline that never disappeared from showrooms.

Sure, we can't say the same about the AE86 and the Toyota (GT) 86 that’s been in production since 2012. But what really matters is that the RWD toy has serious chances of receiving a second generation. There have been numerous reports talking about these, with the most recent dating back to this Spring. However, while certain reports have mentioned the next-gen model will receive a hefty power bump via turbocharging, others have dismissed such changes, so only time will tell which version is true.
