The 2014 Toyota Land Cruiser now comes with “more control, less shake, rattle or roll” as the commercial says and one of the most important features is represented by the Downhill Assist Control (DAC).
This means, that if you are an inexperienced off-roader who has to drive down a big bumpy slope, the 4Runner will aid you not to loose control and smash the vehicle or shatter your teeth from the rough surface.

When you arrive at a steep ramp, stop at its edge and simply push the DAC button on the central ceiling stack. A green indicator will be lit in the dashboard an you are ready to go steadily over the rough surface.

As long as you are not touching the brakes, the vehicle’s ABS and the Active Traction Control will work together to maintain a safe constant speed so you can concentrate on choosing the right path.
