Toyota Adds "G Sports" to the Lineup

Japanese carmaker Toyota took advantage of the Tokyo Auto Salon and previewed its upcoming sports conversion car series, the so called G Sports. Meant to offer customers some taste of its GAZOO Racing endeavors, the "G Sports" flavors of the vehicles will be offered to customers in the near future.

"The G's series is designed for customers who strongly desire to own a unique vehicle, offering them a personalized interior and exterior design along with sports-driving performance. TMC has directly designed this sports conversion series, instead of the conventional approach of outsourcing development to a customization firm," says the carmaker via theautochannel.com.

The car which previewed the best what the G series will bring to the table is the FT-86 Concept G Sports. Stunning already, the FT-86 received
even more appeal thanks to modifications brought to it.

The carmaker also revealed at the aforementioned event the Prius G Sports Concept, our everyday Prius, but with a twist: new bumpers, new side skirts, LED daytime running lights, dual exhaust system and 18-inch alloy wheels.

What are we to expect from the upcoming G Sports line?

"The base vehicle of the G's series is equipped with internal and external components that include sports suspension, aerodynamic parts and racing-style seats. A special focus has been placed on "driving seasoning" to make handling fun, through fine-tuning carried out by the GAZOO Racing test drivers who drove the Lexus "LF-A" in the 24 Hours Nürburgring race in Germany and developed the "iQ"-based "GAZOO Racing tuned by MN4".
