The Toyota 4Runner was always the rugged family-hauling off-roader, and kept its roughness even when the rest of the automakers decided to leave the body-on-frame construction aside and go for softcore monocoque mall-parking adventurers.
Still, for those who need even more off-road performance and cooler looks, the 4Runner TRD Pro will arrive this fall with a lot of goodies.
Starting with the exterior, the 4Runner TRD Pro comes with the crazy Inferno paintjob (along with Black and Super White), a TRD 1/4-inch thick aluminum front skid plate, unique TOYOTA front grille, TRD PRO external badges, black accented front and rear bumpers and new 17-inch black TRD alloy rims.
Inside, you’ll benefit of a TRD shift knob and floor mats. The technical side also gets upgraded by TRD Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs and tuned front springs gaining 1.5-inch lift at the front and 1-inch of extra wheel travel.
The 4Runner TRD Pro will come around with the rest of the lineup this fall, with pricing following to be announced later in the year.
