While many drivers can only dream of enjoying more than a few laps on the Nurburgring during the tourist days, there’s a special breed of wheelmen who know the Green Hell like the back of their hand. We’re talking about the people who drive tow trucks and their number is not small.
With crashes being on the house at the ‘Ring, tow trucks enter the track all the time. As for their work, it all depends on the perspective you choose - the journey a car or a bike makes on the back of these platforms can be seen as either their last ride after the accident or the first steps towards a new life, at least in most cases.

Today we’re bringing you a compilation that shows crashed four- and two-wheeled creations being taken away on the back of these trucks.

One of the scenes that grabbed our attention in a peculiar manner involves a Porsche Cayman racecar with a 911 face, albeit a torn one. We’re sad to see this Zuffenhausen machine damaged, especially after we witnessed the vehicle pulling what could be the ‘Ring save of the year back in September.

While most drivers are understandably troubled after trashing their vehicles, some of them like to take things the easy way and record the whole experience - pay attention to the footage and you’ll see what we mean.

Speaking of Nordschleife accidents, we’ll remind you that next year will see the track receiving a number of changes aimed at increasing the level of safety. Most of these will see extra fences being installed, a move that can only be positive. However, the track won’t be the same once the transformation process is complete, due to a few changes that affect its layout. You can read more on the topic here.
