When the repo man comes for your car and you know you’ve been missing payments, there’s no sense in arguing with him, as he’s but an agent with no saying power. However, if the repo man attempts to take your family with the car, you have no choice but to intervene.
This was the strange scene that played out one week ago in Woodbridge, Virginia, WTOP reports. A 25-year-old man, the owner of the car, was inside a store when a tow truck driven by 23-year-old Mohamed Zyoud pulled up. Zyoud started to hook the vehicle to his truck, completely ignoring the fact that there was a woman, 2 kids and 1 dog inside at the time.

The owner saw what was happening and rushed outside to stop the repo man from taking his family with the car. What happened next would look good on the big screen in some action movie, but was definitely painful to watch in real life.

“The vehicle’s 25-year-old owner, who was in a nearby business, saw what was happening and ran out and stood in front of the tow truck. Police say Zyoud struck the man with his truck,” the publication says.

“The owner then went around to the driver’s side door of the tow truck, and Zyoud punched him in the face, police said,” adds the same outlet. “Zyoud then unhooked the vehicle and drove away.”

He was arrested, booked into jail and charged with assault and battery, attempted malicious wounding, and hit and run. He is being held on a $20,000 bond and is expected back in court this September. At this point, it’s safe to assume that he lost his job as a tow truck driver with Woodbridge’s A&A towing company.

Despite the vicious attack, police say the car owner didn’t suffer serious injuries. The occupants of the car weren’t hurt at all.
