It was back two years ago in Geneva when we first saw the Disco Volante as a concept and since then the car has grown on us for all the right reasons. The first production version was built last year, in a stunning shade of Alfa red, and now another has popped up at the same Swiss venue wearing dark metallic green with gold accents.
This is classic couchbuilding style, offering the customer exactly what he wants and not something that came off a production line.

A tribute to the 1952 Disco Volante, this thing will be a very rare sight indeed. Only 500 Alfa Romeo 8C coupes were built and they're all pretty special. Thus, Tourng Superleggera can only "afford" to chop up 8 models. If green isn't your cup of tea, know that all will come in different colors selected by their future owners.

The red one made last year has already been sold to somebody in China, but it will take a while before all the remaining 6 will be built.

Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera was established back in 1926 and was reopened in 2006 after going bankrupt back in 1966. There's a lot of "6" in their history… Anyway, since its revival 8 years ago, they've rebodied the Maserati Coupe Gransport into the S8GCS Berlinetta, created an estate out of the Bentley GT and even remade a Gumpert.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
