The S-Class Coupe is the sort of motor retired millionaires with supermodel girlfriends like to buy. It's totally hot, and yet not as vulgar as a Rolls-Royce Wraith. Even a relatively "average" model like the S500 can cost about €150,000, so you can imagine how expensive the AMG version is.
There's quite a few of them, with rear-wheel drive, AWD, V8 or V12 engines. However, the majority of folks seem to love the S63 AMG Coupe with 4Matic, a seriously rapid machine with the heart of a monster and a price tag beginning at €170,000. Ouch!

Considering that supply is quite tight at the moment, you'd expect an S63 with only 1,700 kilometers on the clock (about 1,100 miles) to have most of its value. However, the one we found for sale today can be had for only €89,900.

Is this the bargain of the century? No, it's the exact opposite of that, as the super-coupe has seen better days. The damage looks so bad that we're tempted to call it "totaled," even though it's repairable. The front end is completely missing, and the crash has even ripped the left suspension off, together with the prop shaft and tire. We could compile a very long list of things broken on the car, but what you need to understand is that only the roof, pillars and trunk are intact.

We don't think the silver bullet is worth 90k, since you could buy a mint condition Jaguar F-Type S AWD for that kind of money. Still, maybe somebody has a fetish for mangled Mercedes metal.

Editor's note: What really bugs me is that the left mirror is still attached, even though the whole side is mangled. You never see that!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
