Toshiba Ducati U500 Laptop Revealed

Toshiba is trying a different approach to attract more buyers, this time with the help of the popular motorcycle manufacturer Ducati. The company a few days ago revealed the U500 Ducati-branded laptop at the IFA in Berlin but hasn't unveiled the full list of hardware specifications of the new product.

However, according to the guys over at t3.com, who also got the chance to take a few photos of the laptop, the Ducati-inspired notebook boasts , a Core 2 Duo 8700 processor, an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 graphics card, and 4GB or RAM. And that's about all we know at this point but, taking into account these specs, the laptop should be enough to let you run Windows Vista - or Windows 7 if you prefer - without any glitch.

Prices are yet to be released as well but the laptop will most likely go in the $1,000+ price tag.

Now, you're probably wondering what's with the Ducati nameplate seen on the laptop. Since it's a Ducati-inspired laptop, the most obvious thing is to see some of features based or at least inspired by motorcycles. Well, the only thing we see at this point is a small logo placed on the case that does nothing more than to remind us that U500 is (more or less) inspired by motorcycles.

Displayed at the IFA 2009 in Germany, the new laptop will most likely go on sale in a couple of months so you'd better keep an eye on the news section and we promise to keep you up to date with the latest details.
