UK's BBC TopGear Magazine just complimented the three-pointed star brand by giving the Germans two different awards – one for the SLS AMG Black Series and one for the S-Class W222.
The bonkers Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series received the “Lairy Car of The Year” award, with the judges saying: “It looks like it wants to bite your leg off, but actually it bear hugs you and covers your back like a best mate. It is lairy but not scary.”

As expected, the new boss of AMG wasn't going to remain without remarks: “Thanks - that’s pretty much what we were aiming for with the car. The SLS AMG Coupé Black Series promises pure, unadulterated Driving Performance and is the ultimate choice for extremely quick lap times and exciting driving experiences.” said Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Management Board of Mercedes-AMG GmbH.

The second Mercedes-Benz model to win a BBC TopGear Magazine prize was the S-Class W222, who won the “Luxury Car of The Year” award.

“There is no other luxury car half as deserving of the tag. It is the pinnacle of technical achievement and technological advancement.” said the TopGear judges about the new king in its segment.
