Top Gear's Clarkson, Fooling Around with Coworker?

Scandal seems to be the name of the game for BBC's Top Gear, ever since last year's saga centered around the identity of the Stig. Since then, we've seen the Top Gear Three take a vivid shot at the Mexicans, we've seen them engage in a battle with electric car manufacturer Tesla, and now we're seeing one of them getting into a dispute a bit more sexual in nature.

Mind you, what's about to follow broke in British tabloid Sunday Mirror, so it all falls under the “alleged” category (although, truth be told, tabloids get things right more often than weather forecasters).

According to the source, the love between the crew working for the show has gone far beyond the sets and tracks where it is shot. Clarkson, says the Sunday Mirror, somehow lost his head over one of his coworkers, identified as 42-year-old Phillipa Sage.

Of course, all sides involved are denying the affair (Clarkson is married), even if the malicious sources say that pretty much everybody knows about it, including the two other hosts that complete the world famous trio.

According to another tabloid, Daily Mirror, Sage denies the affair, although she admits it is not unusual for her to “stay in colleagues' hotel rooms.”

Clarkson on the other hand is “surprised to find that I'm the new Tiger Woods.” A close friend of his allegedly told Metro.co.uk that Clarkson “is stunned by these claims” and, after “working hard on Top Gear for a while,” he “is enjoying a holiday with his family.”
