TomTom recently released a new update for its iPhone navigation app, with the new development being designed to take advantage of the larger screen that can be found on the iPhone 5.
The new app is optimized to run in full-screen mode and thus allows driver to see a larger area of the map when behind the wheel. However, this is just half the story, as the menu and search screens have also been tweaked in order to bring more options and search results into the driver’s attention.
“TomTom’s navigation app for iPhone and iPad is fully functional with or without signal. Offline maps mean that drivers will stay connected to accurate, reliable and up-to-date navigation wherever they go. And, unlike other navigation apps, they won’t incur costly roaming charges when navigating abroad,” a company statement reads.
The TomTom Navigation app for iPhone and iPad v.1.12 can be purchased from the iPhone App Store.
