Tomorrowland Premiere Has George Clooney and His Wife Driving a 2016 Chevrolet Volt

Tomorrowland has positive thinking wrapped all around it, we know that for sure. It also stars one of the biggest actors Hollywood has to offer, George Clooney. These two reasons and plenty other make Chevrolet’s decision to place their next-generation Volt in the new film a bright idea.

In case you haven’t heard of the company’s latest marketing venture, we’ll take a minute to tell you about it. Apparently, Chevrolet and the upcoming Disney feature share a history and future “full of possibility, innovation and freedom.” The automaker named the launch of the next-generation Chevrolet Volt accordingly, as “Tomorrow, Today” campaign allegedly captures the spirit of imagination in the process of creating the car of tomorrow.

In translation, what they did is create a clip that not only uses a portion of the film’s score, but it also depicts some of the most innovative and futuristic concepts. These earlier models seem to have played a part in the construction of the new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, due to hit the market this fall. That’s what the first video does.

The second clip we listed below features Chevrolet’s next-generation Volt and the EN-V concept sharing the actor’s carpet at Disney’s Tomorrowland premiere. George Clooney, Raffey Cassidy, Britt Robertson, Keegan-Michael Key, and director Brad Bird get to speak a little of both the movie and the car. They all seem to believe that these should tell people the future is made of the decisions we take today.

Fans of the film also appear to be quite fond of the idea the 21st century should have nothing to do with oil; the E-power should take over.

As we said, George Clooney and his wife Amal along with her niece Mia Alamuddin arrived at the Downton Disney event in a blue 2016 Chevrolet Volt. We can only assume the Chevy is about to join the recently married couple's car collection.

Ladies, let’s face it, Clooney makes even a PHEV look cool, you know he does. And that’s exactly what Chevrolet meant to do in the first place.
